Golden Stick Hockey Camps
Golden Stick camps run in short blocks of two or three days, built around one idea: a player should understand why a habit works before being asked to repeat it. Each day combines video instruction, off-ice preparation, and on-ice training, so a concept is explained, seen at USHL and NHL level, and then applied under pressure the same morning.
The emphasis is not simply completing drills. Every session is designed to help players skate with purpose, handle pressure, support the puck, and make faster decisions during games.

How a Camp Day Runs
Check-In Players are grouped and given the focus for the day.
Off-Ice Movement preparation, balance, coordination and reaction work, so ice time is not spent warming up.
Video IQ USHL and NHL breakdowns of the habit being taught that day, including where to look and when to move.
On-Ice Two hours applying it, finishing in competitive small-area situations rather than lines and cones.
Pick-Up Players leave with something specific to take into their next practice.
Camp Focus
- Skating mechanics that improve in-game execution
- Puck protection and body positioning
- Passing and receiving under pressure
- Reading pressure, timing, and available space
- Offensive and defensive transition
- Play-driving habits
- Small-area games and competitive situations
Who Camps Are For
- Camps are grouped by age, most often 8 to 10 and 11 to 15, so the pace and the teaching match the room.
- They suit players who want the reasoning behind a habit, not only the repetition of it.
- Group sizes are capped so every player is seen and coached by name.
Players leave with practical habits and concepts they can transfer straight into practices and games.
